Throughout Ohio there are many unique, small nurseries and garden centers devoted to growing and/or marketing Ohio native plants.  OhioNativeGrowers.org is a resource designed to bring the buying public in contact with these growers.  As a small, startup native tree and shrub nursery ourselves (www.riversidenativetrees.com) we knew the difficulty of getting the word out about our product.  We had no real advertising budget and, other than our website, had no real advertising. Here, for the first time, is a simple to use directory to bring buyers and sellers together.  This site is aimed at you, the buying public searching for native plant nurseries.  Most of you know that native trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants benefit insects and other fauna by serving as their food source.  The trouble was in trying to find more than the run-of-the-mill plants offered by the big retailers.   At these nurseries you can talk with the owners and with staff that have actually grown the plants.  Their experience and wealth of growing information will translate into a more positive experience for you, the buyer.  In the end, each of these nurseries is dependent upon you and your success with our plants.  We take that seriously and we want yours to be a positive, growing experience!  If you need help navigating the directory please go to the INFO page.

Deeply Rooted Landscapes sells at local native plant sales and events throughout the year.

We sell native plants at the 2nd Street Market in Downtown Dayton most Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm from early May through July and select weekends in the fall and winter.
