Terra Depot is a nature specialty shop featuring quality wild bird seed and blends, bird feeders and houses and many unique gifts for home and garden. Our shop is located on our small farm in SW Stark County. We are known for having "Cool Stuff for the Nature Lover"! We also produce high tunnel grown red raspberries for the fresh market and make our own branded jams and jellies. This year we are starting our native plant nursery. We will have a large selection of spring ephemerals and perennials. As we develop, we will specialize in expanding our offering of keystone shrubs and trees. Our current stock is native to the midwest and has been sourced from established and reputable native plant nurseries. I am excited to "drill down" to more local sourcing as we grow. My interest in native plants is an extension of my love and respect for nature, creating and restoring habitat for songbirds and all critters! A lot of inspiration has come from reading Doug Tallamy's research and publications. I am also so appreciative of many established Ohio native plant practitioners who have been so generous with sharing information about their nursery setups. I am an OSU graduate in Agriculture with post graduate work in landscape installation and design. I am a board member of the Canton Audubon Society and am partnering with The Wilderness Center, Wilmot, Ohio to coordinate their annual native plant fund raiser.
