Description:

Ohio Native Habitat Nursery (ONHN) is a grower and distributer of high-quality vegetation native to Ohio and professional support for use in restoring aquatic and terrestrial habitats.

ONHN grows native vegetation in 10 cubic inch Styroblock trays and Tall 1 Forestry pots. The vegetation consists of native species that include sedges, rushes, wildflowers, shrubs generally found in riparian habitats, and small tree species generally found in 100 year flood plains. The emergent, non-woody vegetation is ideal for medium- to large-scale wetland restoration projects, sand bar plantings in stream restoration projects, and wet meadow habitat restoration. Smaller bioswale or local rain garden projects will also benefit from healthy, established vegetated plugs for water quality improvements as well as pollinator habitat. The woody vegetation is ideal for all forms of stream restoration, flood plain establishment, wetland restoration, and general habitat management on any project scale.

ONHN is happy to assist in all forms of native habitat restoration whether it be simple plantings to full-scale wildlife habitat management. Please go to our website for additional details.
