Hello and thank you for your interest in Star Farms Native Plants. My name is Dave McPheron and I opened the nursery to help fulfill my desire to grow plants and to supply another source for Ohio Natives to the public. My degree is in Horticulture and I have been actively engaged in the plant world for over 40 years.
I am working on collecting and growing plants native to Ohio, but do include a few of my favorites from the Midwest.
We are located in Hardin County in Northwest Ohio. Our county is known for being the headwaters of the Scioto, Miami, and Blanchard Rivers. Those waterways have provided a very diverse plant community opportunity.
